What’s better than a whole lot of kids enjoying the sport they love with their friends? Not much, we’d say! And the team at Eastern Lions Soccer Club certainly knows how to make it happen.

On Sunday 4 October, Eastern Lions hosted a fantastic junior soccer tournament at their home ground, Gardiners Reserve, bringing together four junior teams for a fun-filled day of football, friendship and friendly competition.

Thankfully, the weather was on everyone’s side too! After the previous day’s downpour, the sunshine was a welcome sight, and the pitch was in great condition for the young players to show off their skills.

Football, fun and a familiar face!

While the action unfolded on the field, there was plenty happening on the sidelines too. The sausage sizzle was firing, families and supporters were cheering, and a few familiar faces made an appearance… including MC Dental’s very own Toothy mascot!

As a proud sponsor of the tournament, MC Dental was delighted to be part of the day. Our team came along with plenty of Piksters oral health ‘On the Go’ kits to share, along with some fresh, crunchy apples to help keep the young athletes fuelled.

Of course, the real stars of the day were the junior players, who brought plenty of enthusiasm to the field.

A big thank you to the Eastern Lions community

Events like these don’t happen without a lot of hard work behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Joe, Darayus and the Eastern Lions Soccer Club for organising such a fantastic day, and to the many volunteers who generously contributed their time and energy to make it all happen.

It was wonderful to see so many young players enjoying the game, supporting their teammates and making memories with friends.

From everyone at MC Dental, congratulations to all the teams who took part. We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we look forward to being part of more community events in the future!
