With the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games approaching, we’re shining the spotlight on a very special team-member of ours, who is not only a highly respected dentist, but also holds the honour of being a Commonwealth Games medalist.
At the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Dr Gayle Toogood was part of the team that represented Australia in the women’s lightweight four, bringing home a silver medal.
Competing at this level required years of training, teamwork, discipline and determination. Dr Toogood also enjoyed an impressive rowing career beyond the Commonwealth Games, representing Australia internationally and achieving success at national and world championship level.
Today, she brings many of those same qualities to her work in dentistry. Her dedication, focus and commitment to helping others have made her a valued member of the team at MC Dental Brighton.
A Commonwealth Games medal and an outstanding dental career -Dr Toogood has certainly set the bar high for the rest of us!
