There are many unusual places to go into labour, and MC Dental Docklands can now be added to that list. Recently, Jessie reached out to our team. She was 38 weeks pregnant, in need of urgent dental care, and hoping we could help.

Dr Regina was ready to assist, but while the patient was waiting, Baby had other plans. Jessie’s waters broke right there in the clinic.

The response from Practice Manager Rachael and the Docklands team was calm, caring and wonderfully human. They supported Jessie, helped her contact the hospital, and ensured she felt safe. The hospital advised that she could still receive dental care before making her way in, which offered welcome relief during an already exciting moment.

Just a short time later, Jessie delivered a healthy baby boy, Ermias, in hospital (Phew!) To celebrate the memorable occasion, the MC Dental Docklands team prepared a small gift hamper, complete with a plush toy embroidered with “MC Dental” on the ear as a keepsake to mark Baby’s unforgettable entrance into the world.

Moments like these don’t happen every day, but they certainly brought big smiles to our team. We’re honoured to have played a small part in Ermias’s journey and wish this lovely family all the very best.
