Dental Treatments Resume
All dental services have resumed. MC Dental clinics remain open (operating regular opening hours) for non-urgent and emergency treatments. From 11:59 pm Thursday 17th June, updated restrictions will be in place-
>Removal of 25km travel limit
> Movement between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria is unrestricted
> Full-faced masks must be carried at all times and must be worn indoors.
Do not visit an MC Dental clinic if you are unwell. Instead, contact reception to reschedule your appointment. MC Dental will continue to uphold a high standard of infection control measures.

What is a dental emergency?
Common emergencies include:
- A broken or fractured tooth
- A loose tooth
- A missing tooth
- A lost filling
- Tooth abscess
- Gum abscess
- Swelling or bleeding
- Impacted wisdom teeth
- Braces or retainers causing irritation
- Knocked out tooth
- Injury to the jaw
- Bitten tongue or lip where bleeding doesn’t stop
- Objects wedged between the teeth

Face Masks Update 25th May
In line with the Victorian Government’s recent announcement, all patients will be required to wear a fitted face mask indoors from 6 pm, 25th May. We ask that all patients wear a fitted face mask in the reception area, unless an exemption applies. The face mask requirement applies to everyone aged 12 years and older. MC Dental will continue to uphold infection prevention and control strategies. Additionally, MC Dental will screen patients for COVID-19 symptoms and check to see if any patients have been to any potential exposure sites. For more information, visit exposure sites. If you have ANY of these symptoms:
Please advise us if you have any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, AND if you have travelled overseas in the last few weeks. Also, please let us know if you have tested positive to COVID-19, or have had close contact with someone diagnosed with, or suspected of having Coronavirus. Please don’t visit the clinic. Instead, call the dedicated hotline on 1800-675-398.
